Morocco – Day 4 & 5 Essaouira & Marrakech

We woke up early again to catch an early bus to Essauoira.  The ride was about 2 hours so we slept for most of it.

Beach town

Essaouira is a beach town.

It’s a smaller beach town with a medina also.  We walked around the medina, ate more tagine and wandered down the beach.  We didn’t bring our bathing suits because we didn’t know what to expect and we only had a day there.  There wasn’t much to the town.  There was a big port and lots of fisherman trying to sell their goods from that day.

Here are some other photos from our day in Essaouira.

Who would eat that?!?!

Day 5

We slept in.  Ate a Moroccan breakfast at the Riad and then did last minute things before our flight.  We wanted to see one more palace and buy a couple of things.

The trip was incredible.  I wish I could go back and visit more cities.  I really wanted to ride a camel also but didn’t get a chance.  Maybe on another vacation!

What is your favorite vacation spot?  What is your dream vacation?

  1. Thanks for the kudos! I’m not even sure what program I’ll apply for or if I will just yet, but I wanted to get the test out of the way so I’ll be more willing to keep my eyes open. Baby steps!
