Punjab Restaurant

Being a student with a lot of other Expats has its advantages.  Some classmates and I went to an amazing Indian lunch last week at Punjab Restaurant in Covent Garden.

Prachi took control of the ordering (since she is from India) and ordered pretty much the whole menu so we could try everything!  We were beyond full and so happy with the choices.

I can’t remember what we ordered but I know there was lots of lamb, chicken, veggies, rice, naan and dessert.  Prachi said this is the closest you will get to a homemade Indian meal here in London so I’ll take her word for it.  It was delicious and I even got a doggie bag which I’m really excited about.  Can’t wait to go back to Punjab Restaurant!!

Healthy Choices

Which do you think is healthier, mayo or butter?

Americans would say butter but Brits would say mayo.  Mayo is in EVERYTHING here.  Every sandwich, burger, salad, you name it I will make a bet that there is mayo in the ingredients.  WHY?!?!

I will never understand why they need mayo in their food but Lola’s Cupcakes just took it to a whole new level.  Introducing the healthier cupcake…..MADE WITH MAYO!

I will not be trying these cupcakes so I won’t be able to report back unfortunately but if anyone has tried one please let me know what you think!

Would you try it?

Found It!

I was never able to find a deli that made the perfect mozzarella and roasted pepper with extra vinegar sandwich outside of my hometown.  I never even found it in NY….until now.  I was walking to the tube after work and noticed a small deli.  I walked inside and knew it was going to be the most delicious sandwich ever.  This secret spot is called Camisa + Son in Soho.  The employees/owners are from Italy and speak English with an Italian accent so you know it’s going to be delicious.  For £3 I got a sandwich that lasted me two meals, lunch and dinner.  I tried to search for a website but they don’t even have one. You can read write ups about it but that’s about it.  Here are some photos as my proof:

Not only do they have delicious sandwich but they sell homemade macaroni sauce and macaroni and many other items.

Who would have thought I’d find this in London but I’m a happy camper!

Masters Degree – Almost Conquered

I handed in my last report and here is the proof.

Just my thesis left and it’s not due until September 1st so it’s time to breath and enjoy the summer in London!
