Puppies For Sale At Harrods

Yup, you read that right.  You can buy dogs and hamsters at Harrods.

Or you can bring your dog to get groomed at the Pet Spa.

The photo below is really hard to see but it’s a treadmill with a flat screen TV for your dog to get exercise.

So many leashes (or should I say leads) to choose from!

The Pet Kingdom wouldn’t be complete without a bakery.

Roberto Cavalli’s first dog clothing line.  £300 for 1 piece of clothing….

Harrods also sells exclusive dog bed or palaces as I would refer to them.

And the perfect dog pillow….

If you don’t actually have a dog but love them so much you could decorate your house this with clock.

Head to the 4th floor of Harrods to experience this pet lovers haven.  It’s worth the trip!

A & J’s Big Adventure – Part 4/Plan B

Plan B was to book a flight to NY from Paris and spend a couple of days there as well.  The next flight out was on Wednesday so we had 2 days in Paris!

Paris doesn’t need words….only photos.

On Wednesday morning we successfully flew from Paris to New York and enjoyed our time with family and friends.  I don’t have any photos from the rest of our trip because my camera battery was dead and the charger was obviously left in London.

We are back in London and ready to take on the new year!

Soooo Excited!!!

In 4 days my family will be here!  I’ve planned out the week, made reservations for tea and dinners, and made an itinerary for them while I’m in class.  I CAN’T WAIT!!!

We are a crazy family but I’m sure most would consider their family crazy also.  We laugh at the littlest thing and just enjoy our time together.

Most say my mom and I are twins.  Do you agree?

This photo is so ugly but I think it describes my family perfectly…..always blaming Alex for something.

A little tour around the Westminster Abbey area

A little tour around the Westminster Abbey area

Fashionista Tea at The Berkley

Prêt-à-Portea was so much fun.  Each sweet & savory piece was inspired by a piece of fashion.  We tried to take photos but the lighting wasn’t good at all.  You can learn about the afternoon tea here. The only photo that came out was of a pair of Christian Louboutins. I think it’s a sign.

Spring/Summer 2008 Shoe

After tea we walked around Harrods. and Harvey Nichols then headed to meet Jon and some friends for dinner and drinks at the pub.

Next up…DAY 2 – A day trip to Bath!

Window Shopping

Everyone knows Selfridges. It’s one of those iconic department stores here in London right on Oxford Street. The recent buzz has been about their windows and the new Shoe Galleries. I’ve decided to take photos of the windows to share with all fo you because they are just that amazing.  The photos do not do justice so you have to check them out yourself.

Sorry about the quality but I used my digital point and shoot camera and did this very fast before class.

Enjoy window shopping!

Adventure Up The Jubilee Line And More

Round 1 of IKEA trip was SUCCESSFUL.  I followed the directions from the website and asked a couple of people which direction the IKEA was when I got off the tube and lo and behold I made a left turn and saw the big blue building with yellow iconic letters.

I had so much fun walking through the store myself.  I know it’s not good quality and my family how vowed NEVER to purchase IKEA furniture again but it just makes sense in our situation.  Don’t worry Dad, this time Jon will be putting together the furniture while cursing and saying he will never do this again. Haha memories (that Shanna and Stef witnessed).

I bought 25 items for £56 which I think is a steal.  I bought things for the flat such as kitchen utensils, garbage bin, fruit bowl, etc.  While I toured the showroom I took photos of the furniture pieces I think would be perfect for our flat.  Next time Jon will come and say yes or no and then we can start making the rental into our home. I won’t bore you with the furniture photos but will show you the 2 bags full of stuff I carried back on the bus.  I decided to take the bus back home so I could see other parts of London.

I’ve been fending for myself this week since Jon has been working and I found myself at Whole Foods for dinner every night.  I think it just gives me that little bit of home that every expat wants. Plus their hot food bar is DELICIOUS!

Plus I love “mush” with balsamic vinegar so this place is ideal for me. Just in case you wanted to see what I mean by “mush” here you go.

One more thing before I go.  All flats come with a tea kettle.  Makes sense considering we are in London but it doesn’t work for me.  Today I put the tea kettle on top of the fridge for a “rainy day” and replaced it with a nice coffee pot.  It’s very necessary people!  I also stuffed a TON of splenda packets into my checked luggage so I have a about a years supply of them. Thanks Alyssa for buying the Costco boxes for me!!  While I was purchasing the coffee pot at Sainsbury’s I had to buy coffee but was absolutely confused by the different types.  I want Dunkin Donuts coffee but I’ve got to be realistic.  So I settled on the brand with New York in the title.  I’ll let you know how it is.

Look at that beautiful coffee pot and cute jar to hold my splenda supply!
